The Power of Words to Build and Heal
Words sweet, lyrical, spontaneous, heart-driven, flowing as waves through my soul-cleansing the old painful wounds. Soft, passionate, deliberately loving words – words sometimes spoken without a sound lifted on laughter, washing me clean of the old staged life. The one that looked good on the surface but was barely surviving a rotting infrastructure.
Accepted the love that came from others. Changed the way I spoke to myself. Walked away from those who use words to stab and twist. Over time word upon word, I am rebuilt, healing, and strengthened from within.
How do you speak to yourself? It matters. I once heard a lady say if you would say it to your granddaughter don’t say it to you. Wisdom.
